Project Ghoul Tier Lists

Community-ranked Kagunes and Quinques with honest notes on drop rates, PvP risk, and remake meta shifts.

Tier List Hub

Tier lists in Project Ghoul are not official balance charts from GX Studios — they are community snapshots of which Kagunes and Quinques perform best in the current Roblox build. Because the game is being remade as Project Ghoul: re, rankings can shift after patches, skill reworks, or economy changes. Treat every tier placement here as a starting point: test weapons in your own playstyle, then adjust.

This hub splits rankings into two dedicated pages so you are not comparing apples to oranges. Ghouls spin for Kagune in the main menu; CCG investigators progress through Quinque unlocks and gear. Both paths have S-tier outliers with brutal drop rates, mid-tier workhorses that carry most of the game, and starter options you should replace quickly.

What you will find here

  • Kagune tier list — full S through C breakdown for T-Owl, Yasuhisa, Jason, Kuzen, Rinkaku4T, Touka, and more, plus PvE farming vs PvP duel notes.
  • Quinque tier list — CCG weapon rankings including community favorites like Owl and 1/24-style picks, with honest caveats about remake balance.
  • Players builds hub — stat priorities and loadout advice that pair with whichever tier weapon you actually rolled.
  • Change Kagune guide — when to burn Spins, how rerolls interact with weekend discounts, and how to avoid wasting Epic chase attempts.

How we rank weapons

Our criteria blend three lenses that most competitive Project Ghoul players care about:

  1. Raw output — burst damage, combo length, and AoE coverage for boss fights and crowd clears.
  2. Safety and mobility — can you dodge while attacking? Some Epics lock you in place during third skills, which hurts in PvP even when PvE numbers look god-tier.
  3. Acquisition cost — Epic Kagunes sit around 0.65% per spin. Chasing them without a plan burns Robux and weekend buff windows.

We do not rank by rarity alone. A Rare Jason can outperform a mis-played Epic in skilled hands. Conversely, a Common Naki teaches fundamentals but should not be your endgame pick.

PvE vs PvP: read the right list

Many arguments about “wrong” tier lists come from mixing modes. PvE rewards range, sustained AoE, and cooldown efficiency for RC farming, quest bosses, and material routes. PvP rewards animation canceling, stun windows, and mobility — a Kagune that melts NPCs may get punished by a fast Kuzen or Yasuhisa player who reads your third skill startup.

When a page marks a weapon higher in PvE than PvP (or the reverse), trust that split. If you only duel in arenas, weight mobility and combo speed over boss-melt single targets. If you mostly grind RC and weekend events, prioritize safe farming patterns even if your Kagune is “only” A-tier in 1v1.

Drop rates and when to keep spinning

Spin economy is the hidden half of every tier list. Commons and Uncommons fill most rolls; Rare options like Jason land near 5.35% in community datamines; Epic Kagunes such as T-Owl and Yasuhisa cluster around 0.65%. That means hundreds of spins before you statistically see an Epic — and duplicate protection is not guaranteed in older builds.

Reasonable stopping rules:

  • Stop and play if you hold any solid A-tier Rare (Jason, Kuzen, Rinkaku4T, Touka) and your goal is story plus mid-game PvE.
  • Keep spinning only when you have discounted weekend spins, stockpiled code Spins, or a deliberate Epic chase budget — not because a YouTube thumbnail promised T-Owl in ten rolls.
  • Switch path to CCG if Ghoul RNG frustrates you; Quinques have their own grind but skip hunger management entirely.

Pair spin decisions with the ghoul build guide so you are not rerolling while neglecting RC, health, and agility investments.

Meta honesty and the remake

GX Studios is rebuilding Project Ghoul from scratch. Skills, numbers, and even weapon rosters in Project Ghoul: re may diverge from this legacy list. We update tiers after verified patch notes on Trello and Discord, but lag is inevitable.

If a ranking feels outdated after an update, check updates hub first, then re-test in private servers or low-stakes PvE before abandoning a weapon you already mastered.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for Project Ghoul players.

Is this Project Ghoul tier list official?

No. Rankings reflect community meta and wiki testing, not GX Studios balance posts. Use them as guidance and verify after patches.

Why do T-Owl and Yasuhisa rank S-tier?

Both Epics combine high damage with strong AoE or combo tools for PvE and PvP. Their roughly 0.65% drop rate makes them aspirational, not mandatory for fun.

Should I keep spinning for an Epic Kagune?

Only with a budget — code Spins, weekend discounts, or saved currency. Any A-tier Rare is enough to progress; Epics are luxury upgrades.

Do Quinques use the same tiers as Kagunes?

No. CCG weapons have different kits and unlock paths. Use the dedicated Quinque tier list instead of copying Ghoul rankings.

Will Project Ghoul: re change these rankings?

Almost certainly. The remake can rework skills and drop tables. Re-check this hub after major update notes on Discord or Trello.
