Project Ghoul Trading Guide
Swap Kagune, Quinque, and materials without getting scammed — and know when not to trade.
GX Studios added a player trading window in a Christmas-era patch, and the official Trello still keeps a Trading column for values. This guide explains what the feature is for, which items people actually swap, how to read community prices, and the scams that still show up in Discord DMs. It is not a live price sheet — values move after every combat rework and Project Ghoul: re teaser.
If you only need Yen or Spins, redeem the Codes Hub first. Trading is for duplicates, cosmetics, and mid-tier Kagune you will never use, not for skipping the quest ladder in Level Up Fast.
What trading is (and is not)
Trading lets two players open a secure window, lock items, and confirm. Typical slots include:
- Kagune results you no longer want after a spin
- Quinque pieces CCG players outgrew
- Materials, cases, coats, and Masks from Masks and Arata
- Occasionally aura or holiday cosmetics from holiday events
Trading does not transfer Robux, promo codes, or account logins. Anyone who asks you to “confirm a trade” by sending a password is running a phishing script, not the in-game window.
GX Studios has posted Sorry4TradingIssues style compensation codes after the feature broke. If the window errors, wait for a Discord hotfix instead of using a third-party “middleman bot.”
How to open a safe trade
- Meet in a low-population server or a private instance so PvP griefers cannot interrupt the animation.
- Open the trade UI from the in-game menu (the exact button can move during QOL patches — check Menu if the old prompt is gone).
- Place only the items you intend to lose. Double-check rarity colors before you lock.
- Wait until both sides show locked.
- Confirm once. There is no undo after the server accepts.
Never drop items on the ground “to show them.” Ground drops can be scooped by a third player, and the Christmas merchant / firework windows made that worse in crowded districts.
How to read values
Community prices live on Trello and in Discord trading channels, not on random YouTube comments. A practical ranking for Ghoul swaps:

CCG values follow the Quinque tier list — Owl-class and 1/24-style pieces sit above quest greens. Kakuja-ready Kagune (Jason, Rinkaku 4T, T-Owl, Kuzen) sometimes ask a premium because Kakuja still needs a compatible line plus ~85,000 RC.
Weekend discounted Yen spins crash mid-tier prices. If Saturday is two days away, wait before you panic-sell a Rare.
Scams and red flags
- “Trust trade” — they want your Epic first and will “add later.” Close the window.
- Wrong rarity — a Common recolored to look Epic in a screenshot. Check the in-game name, not the thumbnail.
- Cross-game bait — Ro-Ghoul or GHOUL://RE items are a different title. This wiki only covers GX Studios’ Project Ghoul.
- Executor middlemen — scripts that “escrow” trades are malware with extra steps. See Scripts Hub for why we do not recommend them.
- Code-for-item — live promo strings belong on your own account via how to redeem. Selling a code in chat usually means it is already expired.
If a deal feels rushed, it is. Epic Kagune will still be Epic tomorrow.
When you should not trade
- You have one usable Rare and no second save slot. A bad confirm wipes your farm speed.
- You have not finished Getting Started and do not know which faction you will keep.
- The other player is under the PvP level and wants to “meet in the sewer.” That is a gank, not a market.
- Project Ghoul: re just posted a weapon rework. Values can invert overnight — sit on the item for a week.
Materials, RC, and Yen instead of items
Sometimes the honest move is not trading. Farm bosses for Materials, eat for RC, and buy a five-spin bundle (400,000 Yen) during weekend buffs. A Jason you rolled yourself is worth more playtime than a Jason you overpaid for in chat.

After a successful trade
Re-test the new weapon in a quiet Anteiku loop before you take it into Champ’s floor. Stat pages in Ghoul builds and CCG builds still matter — an S-tier Kagune on a starved damage bar loses to a well-statted Jason.
Report broken trade windows in Discord. Update value arguments against Trello, not against a three-year-old video.
Trade slowly, lock twice, and keep a screenshot of both sides before you confirm.
